October (3:00 p.m.*) Performance: Nightfall With Edgar Allan Poe
Dates: October 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29
Walk along with the action of your favorite literary tales performed live among 1,700 acres of trees and beautiful landscapes. All Theatre-Hikes® are approximately two hours in length and will not exceed 2 miles in hiking distance.
For a more enjoyable hike, we recommend you bring a portable chair.
Celebrate the season with Nightfall With Edgar Allan Poe, the four tales that Poe himself thought were his most spooky; The Raven, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Pit and the Pendulum, and The Tell-Tale Heart. Edgar Allan Poe is the lead character through each tale, sometimes observing, but mostly experiencing these horrors along with you, our audience.
*Fall weekends are popular days for visitation. Please allow up to 45 minutes to park and get to where the hike commences (Thornhill Shelter, Parking Lot 21).
