Fourth of July festivities in Lisle will include a chalk fest event, the parade, ice cream social and fireworks on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.
Chalk Fest will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. where individuals are invited to chalk and leave their mark on the sidewalk outside of Village Hall, 925 Burlington Avenue, Lisle.
The parade will step off at 11:00 a.m. at Lisle Junior High School and head west on Jonquil to Main Street, north on Main Street to School Street, east to Center Street, and end at the Village Hall/trackside parking lot. Following the parade, an ice cream social will take place at the Depot Museum, 921 School Street, until 1:00 p.m.
The fireworks will be held in Lisle Community Park, 1825 Short Street. Spectators can arrive beginning at 8:00 p.m., and the fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. Parking will be available in the Park District and Lisle High School parking lots. Attendees can bring blankets and chairs, but alcohol is prohibited.
