Investing in energy efficient appliances and resource conservation practices-

 

    • Installed CFL light bulbs in all guestrooms, public spaces and in exterior building lighting
    • Natural unbleached, recycled content paper is used in towels, tissue and napkins
    • Uses water pitchers in meeting rooms to reduce the use of plastic bottles
    • Employees use plates, glasses, mugs and utensils
    • Installed low flow water faucets, toilets and urinals throughout the entire building, reducing water consumption by 15%
    • Replaced all guestroom HVAC units with energy efficient units reducing power consumption by 15%;
    • HVAC and heat controlled and monitored for efficiency
    • Installed motion detectors in rear of hotel to turn lights off when no one is present
    • Glass, china and cloth napkins primarily used
    • Guests determine when to have sheets and towels changed during stay
