The Village of Lisle’s long history of “green” practices makes it the perfect green meetings destination, with four premier hotels—each a member of a green organization and practicing green—and with a plethora of nature-based attractions and surroundings, including the Morton Arboretum, parks and forest preserves.

- ‘No Smoking’ rooms
- No extra charge for “green” rooms
- Low-flow sink aerators
- Low-flow showerheads
- 1.6 gpm toilet (to be completed May 2008)
- Fluorescent lighting-thinner off-white vinyl backed lampshades
- Hot water stay between 125-130 degrees as part of a controlling method
- Linens changed between guests or on request only (towels on floor or in tub)
- Extra blankets- rooms can be kept cooler if guest prefer allow lower amount of gasses that need to be consumed
- Pest control- the method of cleanliness, preservatives, natural non-toxic approach is used to prevent damage to the ozone and grounds
- Key switches to control power supply to AC/Heat
Hyatt Lisle
- Preventative maintenance programs which sustain equipment efficiency and extended service life
- Monthly energy and water consumption reporting- the data is utilized to benchmark performance and drive improvement
- Guestroom linen and terry get changed after three night stay to control water and chemical usage
- Low flow showerheads that provide high quality flows while reducing water consumption
- Lighting control systems that not only provide ambience, but control energy consumption
- Automatic flush controls on toilets that reduce water consumption and allow hands-free operation
- Electronic chemical control systems that optimize chemical consumption
- Reuses of old linens and terry cloths as cleaning rags
- Variable speed driers on motors that optimize energy consumption
Wyndham Lisle-Chicago

- Hotel uses CFL’s (Compact Florescent Lights) in each room
- Created a linen reuse program and towel reuse program to cut down on wasting water and chemical usage
- Motion Sensors are used in order to cut down on overuse of public and guestroom water waste
- Hybrid parking for guests that have already taken steps to become green
- Showers have GPM of 2.5
- Sinks have GPM/ aerators of 1.5
- For housekeeping and maintenance, green cleaning supplies are used causing less air pollution and are bio friendly
- Unused amenities or old linen donations which leads to less waste, plus this allows for better control of water and chemical usage
- All appliances are Energy Star registered
- The paper that is used at the hotel is 30% recycled content paper
