The “RID” Region III Conference was held at the Wyndham Lisle-Chicago Hotel and Executive Meeting Center on July 18-21, 2012. A four-day program consisting of membership meetings, educational workshops, awards and recognition lunch and a mad and merry Improv night all went off without a hitch. Wednesday’s opening night ceremonies were held in the Wyndham’s Savoy Grand Ballroom where a highly creative and entertaining key note speaker – Michael Brandwein addressed approximately 800 attendees. On Friday night, a reception and social was held in the Wyndham’s “L” Lounge before the ASL Night at the Improv performance. The ballroom was full of conference attendees and community members eager to see in the performance.
The Wyndham Lisle Hotel provided top notch accommodations and service including all the entertainment activities in their “L” Lounge, with pool tables and Golden Tee Golf. The extensive lobby area allowed the individuals to network throughout the facility. Zumba classes were held in the hotel‘s Krupa room each day providing an excellent group exercise experience.
On Saturday night the convention attendees participated in a “My Kind of Town” Dine Around Excursion. Tour buses picked up the attendees and took a short ride to Downtown Chicago and dined at Chicago area restaurants before returning back to the Wyndham Lisle for the night! With all the entertainment made available, the conference made an immediate and lasting impression. The Wyndham Lisle hosted another very successful conference!
